... for want of a better title. :)

Bit of a quiet day so I thought I would go for a wander around and take some non-PJ type shots. Spring is coming. :)

Comments and critique always welcome. Hope you enjoy.... more to follow later on....

Mark

The colours are just stunning 8) and that is on a work monitor. The green(?) lilac and yellow work well together. Not a bad work environment for the bee either as I look at the grey walls I am confined in. Give us some more info ...What kind of macro lens?

How about "Bee stings flower" as a title.

I like your photograph, especially the colours.

Please pardon my ignorance but what does "non-PJ" mean?

Cheers

This is great Mark. Colours of the flower are very vibrant and the bee is crisp as. How much of a crop from the original is this?

Brilliant!

To me, well on my monitor anyway, the bee looks slightly out of focus but thats just being very picky.

I love the colours!

Great stuff. :)

Great photo Mark. The colours are sensational. Almost like the lilac centre is coming out of fire.

love the colors and clarity, but for some reason the composition and/or angle makes me dizzy. . just doesn't feel natural

robboh: cropped about 50% off....

jamie: the bee is slightly out of focus... I concentrated mainly on the middle of the flower..

wendellt: it is a common water lilly....

Hmm. Id never bothered trying to do any macro-type stuff with either the kit lens or the 70-200VR as I had thought that Id have to crop it majorly to get anything decent. This changes my mind a bit, there is still enough in a 50% crop to get a reasonable 6x4 print. Thanks.

If you rotate it 90 degrees right it gives another feel to the image, Netmagi.
