Photoshop File History OptionI am currently working my way through a book (well, ebook to be completely correct here) on Digital Workflow and they mention the History File option in Photoshop.
I was just wondering how many use this option. If so, have you found it helpful? If you have made a decision NOT to use it, why not? thanks Deb "Sometimes when you are sad Poko, it's good to hug the monkey."
Hi Deb, Are you referring to the History Log preference option?
This is where you can select to save a concise history log to either the files metadata or a txt file. I have this preference on to save log to metadata. I find it a valuable to when reconciling my editing, an as a good reference for future editing. Michael

Hi Michael
yes, that's it. Thanks for your feedback. It looks useful to me, but thought I would ask others who have real life experience with it. Cheers Deb "Sometimes when you are sad Poko, it's good to hug the monkey."
It is useful, I don't refer to it daily but when I need to check how are particular image was edited it is my first port of call. It can get quite large though so I wouldn't recommend turning on the 'detailed' option otherwise you'll be there for hours reading it.
