its time for an upgrade, choices, choices, choices!

thinking of getting either:

300 f/2.8 this time with af got offered one for 2750$ with case
not sure on the af speed of this thing
300 f/4 af ~500$
80-400 off birddog when available.
500 f/4 ais 2200$
or another d70s/d100 body
opinons?

i dunno to be honest,
i never tested out the 80-400 before, is the af is as quick as say the 80-200? i like the specs of it but i wanted a white one i think they don't sell them anymore.


i know the 300 f/2.8 will perform as well
300f/4 if iam really desparate for something small with reach cheap as well so i can buy an another body to boot.

Will a D100 still be on your list if the D200 is announced in the first week of September?

You've got it! price range of the D200 is similar to the price once the D100 was released, forget about the D100, it slips into history but still working well and produce stunning photos as usual.
