Oneputt
absolutely marvellous photos. You have certainly done your time in Central Australia justice with these !

My favourites from these would be Breakaways, Peake Hill Ruins & Dune Dweller.

What lenses did you use ? I'm sure you had an amazing trip and I look forward to the rest of the photos (I assume there's more to come  )

Oneputt - simply beautiful shots of a beautiful part of this great land. Reminded me of my gold searching days in the Simpson Desert back in ’79 :D

Laughing out loud Chris, didn't anybody tell you when you came over that the Gold Rush had ended? :)

I was a member of a group of people searching for Lassetter’s Reef - in fact, I was the official photographer for a number of Motor magazines and Playboy (the sponsor). Camping out in the Simpson with nothing but the stars was one of the most relaxing times of my life. :D

Chris the whole of the area is just so different to what we see on the coast. I have never slept so soundly as I did on this trip. Just a swag under the stars and silence. Loved it. :D

Chris, fair enough. And vast open spaces with nothing but clear skies and stars do tend to make you quite relaxed.

Great images Oneputt. Just can't wait to be roaming the outback myself in 3-4 years. The serenity and peace your images invoke is truly amazing. Brings back memories. Any 80-400VR images you could share with us?

Marco whist obviously I have a lot more images from the trip, the 80-400 was not really needed. Sorry.

Some great shots there OnePutt...
It inspires me to give up the comfort of the coast and the city and to head inland...
The colours are so vivid and your compositions are excellent... Well done..
Cheers, John

number 2 is a beautiful landscape, beautifully captured.

and number 5 reminds me of minimalism in photography, well executed!

excellent work!

Great shots. I haven't been up there for a couple of years now, but boy do I miss the desert regions of oz.
I particularly liked your twilight capture. It brings back fabulous memories - I WANT TO GO BACK!!
If anyone is venturing up that way, then consider doing the detour into Painted Desert (between Coober Pedy and Oodnadatta) at either sunrise or sunset - the colours are awesome! You definitely won't be disappointed.
Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.
