Two beach perspectivesThey are quite different, but only shot about ten minutes and 100 meters apart.

Hi Willy.
Honestly the first one doesn't do anything for me. It's dull and dark and there's not much of a subject. However the second one has promise. The bits that draw my attention are the people and the larger wave in the background, but something seems to be missing in between. Perhaps a lower perspective, perhaps a more compressed view from a longer zoom I'm not sure, but go back and have another go and see what you can do Perhaps if the beach curled around on the RHS of the frame then it would add something? Cheers, Owen.
Both are nice pics. I agree about the flatness of the second one though, there seems to be some sort of perspective problem or something. The first is a tad underexposed, but it is nice, shoot this in raw and you should be able to bring it up a little bit.
I find your frames incredibly distracting and hurtful to the effect of the photo. I dislike the use of most frames, but the white ring is a terrible addition as well. Sorry, but if anything I'd stick with a simply thin black frame. Just my opinion of course.
Owen and Dooda - thanks for the honest feedback. I appreciate it. Dooda im still working on my frames. I need to apply more of the KISS ideas to my framing.
I played with another image to try and avoid the darkness, although I would like to know all your thoughts on how I should treat this image to remove the "blueness" from the rock in the foreground. Hi Willy.
If you've got the RAW file, perhaps you can try changing the colour temperature to counter the 'blueness'. Otherwise in photoshop if you've got that, use the channel mixer and choose the blue channel, have a fiddle with the colours in there. Cheers, Owen.
