for those that are interested in flowers, the Flower Festival is on at the Newcastle Christ Church Cathedral, Sept 2-5, Fri to Mon. On Saturday night, there is a "Twilight, Wine & Flowers" 6pm-7:30pm. I wish I could go, but got an ice hockey game to go to.
The evening sounds interesting:
"Appreciate the beauty of the Festival flowers whilst sipping prestige Hunter Wines, and listening to wonderful music"
It is meant to be spectacular.
I'll try to get to it on Sunday, but will miss out on the wines

There is an admission fee: $15 for the Sat. wine bit and $7 at other times, concession $5 and children $3. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
Times are:
-Fri 10-5
-Sat 9-5
-Sun 11:30-5
-Mon 9-1
