If that is Mr Poon, we better tell him there's a bit of moire in his sports jacket. I assume that was a D70 shot.

Thinking the same thing Dargan, plain jackets for camera salesmen. Seems genuinely happy to see Vicareyus, wonder if that was a potential purchase by Vicareyus or just amazement (what looks like a 500mm on the desk)

That hunkin' big piece of glass - if that's the lens hood reversed on, I'd say it looks strangely like a 200-400 f/4 VR IF ED that's got Birddog's name on it. With its accompanying five digit price tag.

Looks like Vicareyus got to meet the dream maker - the one who makes many of our dreams and lusts come true. :)

Onyx,
You're exactly right, it's a Nikon 200-400VR, that's the one he's going to FedEX to me but he got one of his customer in Europe want it Urgently so he rang me and asked if I can let it goes for that customer first. I agreed, so the next one is definetely for myself, took him 3 months for get it in, he said the next one will be mid of December and I'm going to tell you this:
IT"S US$5500.00 including shipping, just count every sleep now myself :)
The 300/2.8 VR is will be in his stock soon, can't wait!!!

That is one nice price versus the $10k here Birddog. Congratulations, with mid December delivery looks like there will be a directors bonus this year

Hi everyone. Just got back from Hong Kong on Thu morning. Had a great time. Will post some images when I get some time to do some sorting and processing.

Yes I met Mr Poon as you see (thanks Gary for posting the photos). He's a very nice man and will be coming to our Christmas dinner, so I encourage everyone that can to come along (should be a great night!).

Mr Poon gave me some great prices on the following purchases:
- Nikon 24-120VR - I love this lens and use it all the time now. It is terrific - Gary I think you'll agree.
- Nikon 70-300ED (essentially to replace the one I loaned from my brother and chipped the front element - hopefully he won't want it back for ages!!)
- Nikon SB800

That's my shopping for the year (thank goodness a new year is not far away! well...maybe that Gitzo tripod I saw at Bird-dogs place this morning may have to be a christmas present??......
