Border Hopping

Hi All, well i braved the weather today and took a trip 2 hours over the border to Warnambool in Victoria for doctors. Well cant go anywhere without my camera and let me tell you it was bloody hard trying to hold it still enough as it was blowing a gail. Anyhow here is a few pics from my lil trip.

I believe you, but it doesn't look particularly stormy - just windy.
Interesting shots, especially the waves and the tug (but couldn't you fix the tilted horizon?)

#2 and #5 are my favourite.

I like the wild fury in the waves in number 2, and I like the colours and the sharpness in #5.

I like third and last shot.

My only critique for the third one would be lack of necessary post work. Working a bit with level and saturation, but really just a bit, could bring even better result.

Last shot shot is nicely composed and has interesting contrast between red and black. Pump up blues and you have strong image. Also keeping verticals visualy vertical vertical could help. Though I recon it still really great attempt.

The reds and blacks in the last image are my favourite. I agree with Krystian that it would be worthwhile experimenting with a rotation to create a vertical with the funnels. I find that for me usually one photo from an outing stands out, is that your experience or do you have a higher hit rate BBJ or different heuristic?

I'm in for No.2 and Cape Nelson are very nice in their respective ways, and I am thinking maybe go with the suggestions of straightening up Cape Nelson.

By the way, did you catch any whales at Warnambool. A mum & baby have been right in the bay for the last few days, also some close sightings at Portland as well

Thanks all, sorry i shouldhave spent more time fixing these things and yes i did notice about the slant, but did virtually no PP was done and was just a few pics from my day trip.
It was very windy Wenesday but no whales as it was very rough so would have been hard to see them but my doctor did tell me they have been in the bay but when i was there few weeks ago i took lots of shots but they were not exciting.
All they did was swim around near the surface and seen a tail popup now and then thats about it.

I might fix these up at some stage, i have a busy weekend at the track so thanks for the coments and i will do more work next time.
I get a bit slack at times as i process so many pics i just convert to jpg adjust exposure and batch process and ready for web, thats it unless i get an order.
