Nikon CPL compared to Hoya?!

Postby Geoff on Sat Sep 03, 2005 3:04 am

Just wondering if anyone knew if there was a valid enough reason as to why the Nikon 77mm CPL filter (on ebay) is nearly $200 and the hoya is just $67. Incredible price difference, is it worth the extra to pay for the Nikon? Thanx in advance!

Geoff,
Same as the B&W is $345.00, it's not a surprise!
The difference are in multi coating, glass etc...
e.g: Hoya 77mm UV are in 4 difference type and the expensive is around $95.00, the cheapest one is $45.00 - $60.00/ Nikon UV LC37 is $80-$100.00.
Hoya also have difference type of CPL and one of them is over US$178.00
You get what you paid and happy with what you've got.
