my d70 can be saved

Postby robw25 on Wed Sep 07, 2005 9:59 am

after sending my d70 to the digital doctor i had a call from him saying my focussing problem was .... the aperture control was not engaging .... he is sourcing this part from sydney and this will cost approx. $300 and he will clean the sensor while he has it ... so i hope sydney has got one of them ! the house is sooo quiet when my d70 is gone

cheers rob

Excellent news that it can be fixed, although $300 is a bit :(

Therefore, we will definitely see you at Gluepot at the end of October.

Yes mate, i will be waiting to see what comes of it i think unless something drastic happens and i need a new camera i will be looking at the D200. Mind you at times i have been near tempted to go and find a canon to try and play with but yeh will bide my time mate.
But will wait to see how it compares and how the ff will turn out.

Adding to this i think if it has the 5fps at 6.8 high speed crop i could live with this as only 3fps at 12.4.

Hey John, I was down in Mt G last week for a short trip, took a drive to Pt McDonnell and Cape whateveritwas, (Northumberland?) - nice place. Is this where people surf? Looks pretty rough and rugged to me, mind you it was blowing a gale.

Do you get plenty of crays down there?
