Turkish Warrior Hackers The Movie: A Review

Postby johndec on Wed Sep 07, 2005 1:00 am

Well this reviewer has spent most of the evening watching this latest release from the renowned Istanbul director, Habib Falafel, and I can honestly say that I am not overly impressed...

The script was very bland and hard to understand. The first half of the movie wasn't even in English, fortunately the second half had english subtitlies but was so convoluted that it was only marginally easier to understand..

The visual and special effects also left much to be desired. After several hours of looking at a Turkish flag, this reviewer was hoping for a more exciting second scene, however this never eventuated.

The soundtrack was probably the biggest disappointment. One mindless tune repeated over and over again. Don't rush down to your local record store to grab a copy of this.

All in all, this reviewer gives it two thumbs down... PS: Thanks to Gary and Leigh for getting everything back online.

John,

I have it on good authority that the soundtrack came from Turkeys In The Missed, and is available for download in the well known MP1.5 format.

And yes, the duck's off! :)

Well done Johndec on a great review. I agree totally.

for anyone who missed this chilling drama, i was online as it all shut down, so i saved a screen shot (at work) with the famous scene johndec described and the last words of 'nikonuser' at the top... "oh shit I think we are being hacked*"

Well done Gary and Leigh for your work and saving/restoring whats is such a valuable resource and a great community. I will try and muster up a coonawarra red for you... might need it after tonight!

Cheers
Jonesy

I too was online when the hack started.
I was reading posts as normal and then got the warrior bs come up on a post.
I thought it was strange and then went to another post and got the same thing then I knew what was going on.
when I refreshed the home page I got the flag and other crap.

I got an email from the warrior but thus far I havent received any spam. maybe I am lucky?

Good work on the speedy restoration of the forum!!
