EN-EL3 v EN-EL3aHey Guys,
Maybe a stopid question, but was wondering will the EN-EL3a work without hassle in a D70....? Nikon D300, Nikkors 70-200 VR, 17-55, 50 1.4,18-200 VR etc
yeap, its just got 100mAh more capacity. Generally with these things, if it fits, it works. If Nikon didn't want you to use it they would key the battery differently so they wouldn’t be interchangeable.
D70s, 18-70, SB800, Nikkormat FTn, CP4500, Sigma 70-300 APO DG, Sigma 135-400 APO, Lensbabies 2.0, Brian's Hot Tub, Lack of talent, etc.
It's the same battery but with more minimal capacity, not quite noticeable.
Can be used with the same charger of the D70. Birddog114

Anubis,
I have both. My D70s came with the EN-EL3a and I got a spare EN-EL3. Don't see that much difference. They both get charged on the same charger and it was easy to get the EN-EL.
