Well, if you had a Nikon-mount camera you'd probably be best off using it as a macro lens (or portraits if you wanted I suppose).
Some of us would just use it as a source of cash for another EF lens. Seriously, more detail in your query might help us give answers that weren't quite so flippant.
It has two functions...
1. A high quality fast macro lens. 2. A fast medium telephoto (150mm equiv on the d70) It is a beautiful lens, highly recommended. Greg - - - - D200 etc

No, I am not anywhere near that level: one day perhaps Just googled for that lens and up it popped, excellent work. fozzie

http://www.naturfotograf.com/index2.html Without an extension tube the lens only focusses down to 1:2 and, in keeping with recent Micro design from Nikkor, the focal length decreases as focus gets closer and so the distance to the subject decreases exponentially. _______________
