Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread. Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

Suggestion for data base problemWas reading the thread on the database problem but was unable to post because I am not a privileged member.
Please do not underestimate the gold mine of data that you guys have accumulated. The historical value alone will be irreplaceable and in 20 years time reading over some of the old posts might even manage a smile. Suggestion is to restore database to a second site and have a link back to d70 historical data. Could even call it the archives. This of course is if the decision is taken to go with the new. There must be more than two options and there are some smart guys on this forum so maybe there is a better option that we have not thought of yet. regards O
As mentioned on the other thread!
I support the full restoration!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Birddog114

I'm a relatively new user - joined a couple of days before it all went pear-shaped - I haven't made a huge contribution yet but I found the stockpile of questions/answers/pictures etc. invaluable in helping me decide how I want to proceed in purchasing equipment, in providing advise about various issues, and of course the sharing of photographic experience and expertise.
Thankyou to all those who have contributed and especially those who obviously work hard to run this place. It would be a real shame to lose that accumulated knowledge. Not sure if this helps much but that's my couple of cents worth.(+gst)
