Images that inspire.

Postby waspo on Sat Sep 10, 2005 4:39 pm

Hi guys,
Just been going through one of my picture folders to toss out some old images I'd collected off the internet over the years and came across a couple of shots that really inspire me in what I'm interested in.

Do you have any particular images you find inspiring in your own collection?

Lets see them. :D

EDIT: Reposted images with copyright!

Love the images, especially the concentration in the first.

Also just on a note, if you're going to post somebody elses images atleast give them a plug and maybe a url to their website if they have one.

Not sure if the first one is concentration or just plain scared not to drop the bike!
But well done Jase, very nice. Its always good to find a gem or two when cleaning up!

Oh Dam, I hope I didn't give the impression that I took these! (I wish I had.)

No, actually they were taken by a pro! http://www.webnectar.com/ and photographer http://www.sportsshooter.com/members.html?id=122 Judging by the data of the first one, he used a Canon something 3mb camera!

 That might teach me to read first. (still at work... screen resoloution means I cant see the whole thing!) but hey if you dont tell anyone jase then I wont and you can take the credit :D

But you're right... it's shots like these that do get you inspired, and get you out there trying to achieve the same thing if not better!

Personally I am inspired by most shots from members here!...

I am after that elusive lightning shot though. Had a storm last night but to much low cloud so no chain stuff visable...

Yeh well i still looking into that side of it my self, jase i just sort of run it like one i guess. I take a lot of pictures and have a fair old stock on my site, plenty to choose from. I get my orders from there, they no i am at the track and no where to look so yeh if i sell is good if i dont i had fun anyhow. It has it's moments and well yeh last 2 day event i made like $700 for the 2 days over a period of a few weeks or so.

It is to get out and get known, i guess and well yeh at the moment i have been asked by a magazine how much for my photos for an upcoming event, so i havent decided as yet but as first time if i and they do get some of my pics i let some go for nicks for some exposure for me and to promote the local sport for the club etc... but havent decided yet but that looks like the track i will go down for now, but in future will be different.

Great advice, John! I need to sort out where these events are and make an effort to get to them. At the moment it's all just learning and practice for me. Someday though, I hope to be where you are now. This would be the coolest! :D
