    Just purchased the 70-200 VR from him

Got it in my hand right now. Very Nice , awsome lens..... Now next item ..... 1.7TC ??? - Birddog may be ..... BTW, he is moving to Canon. He will put a lot more gears to ebay next week ( due to Compatiblity with his Company )

I think Kodak DSLR, 17-35, 85 F1.4, 300 2.8 AF-S, and more.

So if anyone interested get intouch with him early. Good luck.

Hey the 300MM AF-S might be of interest to BBJ if it's series I or II.
What other primes did he have?

Thanks, I passed on the info to BBJ. Think he wants to talk to you about the condition of the lens you bought off the bloke, in regards to the condition recieved (it is in) compared to the way the bloke disribed it (ie. is the bloke genuine or shonkey :)

I liked this bit from his site.

This page is here as I regularly recieve emails from other photographers asking what gear I use so I thought I'd leave it online to save a bit of time.

I will include info on the gear I have had a decent amount of time to work with, and will not rant on about gear that I've never touched, like some people.

Hi guys,

I'm the seller of these items and thought I'd drop in as both john & peter mentioned this forum to me. thanks john & peter.

The stuff I have that is not on Ebay yet is ;

- 2 x sb800's ($425 each or $800 for both)
- SC-29 cord ($90)
- MC-30 remote cord ($50)
- 17-35/2.8 (excellent example as well, no fringing like a friends version - make an offer, not really sure. 3 years old, no marks.)
- 60/2.8 macro (perfect optically, some light marks of use on lens exterior) $380
- 85/1.4 (pretty much in brand new condition, about 18 months old but treated like a baby - my fave lens) $1000

the other stuff on ebay will stay there, I recieved a bit of flack for pulling the 70-200 and probably should have left it there, some people were a bit peeved!

cheers guys

Well I apologise for pming you in regards to the SC-29. Just wasn't overly sure about buying it due to not many people I know using it for what I do. It might work fine, but I didn't want to buy it then have to resell it.

Gavin,
Great to see you've joined here!
Haven't heard from you since the D100 era from DPR, I knew you sold the D100 and upgraded to the D2h then and D2x lately, now you're parting it again, switch to Canon? what? 1Ds MKII?
Hope and wish you enjoy your stay on this board.

hi,

Sorry I don't remember you, not by that name anyway :)

starting with a couple of 5D's and then later down the track I'll grab a 1Ds MK2 when I see one at an ok price.

not very happy about "leaving" but sick of using a bunch of different bodies to do what I need on the nikon mount.

cheers

I were there at the time of the whole bunch of good guys as JonathanF, etc... Then JonathanF got robbed his D100 from his car, it was a good time there with all you guys, true photographic forum and camaraderies.
Now, it's a big difference, hardly posting there again, I use the same nickname as my callsign on DPR.
I remembered you got the 200/f4 from B&H at one of the rainy days and took a shot of flower in your garden from your windows or something, and generously to loan your 85/1.4 to one of the guy in Sydney, it was few years now.
Well, hope will meet you at one day!!!!

Gavin, please post the photos from the 5D once you have it in your hand!!!!

Ahh yes that was a long time ago :)

That 200/4 was an insane lens! I sold it as I never used it, but boy in it's intended area it's unbelievable.

I didn't know this forum existed, it looks good as it's mostly aussies, DPReview can get a bit annoying sometimes. I might check out one of the sydney meets one day, I'll have to disguise my 5D as a d100 though to avoid getting a beating :D
