D50 goes to Movie World .... dial up warning....Had a day out at Movie World on Friday with the occassionaly significant other and her 4 year old. I haven't been there for about 10 years was amazed at how clean and fresh it still looked after all that time.
I had high hopes of getting some great shots, but with a hyper excited 4 yo leading the way, taking time to consider and compose wasn't really an option most of the time. Not wanting to "blow" too many potential memories, I chickened out and set the camera to aperture priority auto and f10. Shutter speeds varied between 1/50 and 1/250. Lots of panning as the grand parade moved past. All shots taken with the kit 18-55 lens. Ended up taking almost 150 shots for the day. I'm loving the results I'm getting from this kit. Enough waffling...on with the show...hope you enjoy. Shine my shoes Mummy Kid Paradise Gotta love a camel Water, anyone? Come on Mum, it's not that high Mount Rushmore it ain't! Big red machine Didn't look that lethal Super Heroines That wascaly wabbit Scooby Dooby Doo Loser... Dark hero Crashed and burned.....finally!! That's all folks!! A fabulous day was had by all. Apologies again to the dialupers. Cheers, John D JED

JED - this is really a great reminder of an obviously enjoyable day. The quality and depth of colour from the D50 is quite amazing.

Nice images of what looks like was a great day out. That place has certainly changed since i visited back in the late 80's.

Thanks everyone.
It is certainly a bright and colourful place with plenty of photo opportunities. May have to do a solo visit one day to try and be a bit more adventurous and creative. Love the flexibility that shooting in raw gives for pp. Has me wondering why I never tried it with the 5700. Must try it some time if I ever put the d50 down. Cheers, John D JED
