BGLOD.....

Postby big pix on Thu Sep 15, 2005 7:17 am

The BGLOD seems to be quite common on early D70 bodies. On looking at various web sites to check to see what Nikon is doing re this problem and I have found that it varies in different countries. New York the repairs are being done for free, Singapore the repairs are being done for free, when the camera body is out of warranty. Still checking other countries

Australia, I am yet to find if this repair, for out of warranty camera bodies, is being done free of charge, part charge only, or at full cost to the owner. Have any members had this repair done with out of warranty D70 bodies.

So far, I haven't seen or heard any official respond from Nikon/ Maxwell to this BGLOD, perhaps the case will be accessed by individual.
If the warranty of the D70 is expired in just few weeks or a month, then perhaps you'll get it free repair, otherwise you have to tackle with their Service Department on this issue.
