For Nikon SD-8A's ownerDo you know that you can attach the SD-8a to the bottom of your camera body?
By removing two black rubber plug, there's a "see thru hole" Well, a standard 1/4-20 bolt with a washer should work. Cost- $0.25 . Birddog114

Birdy you never stop surprising us Geoff
Special Moments Photography Nikon D700, 50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.4, 70-200 2.8VR, SB800 & some simple studio stuff.
What picture? you have one, take it out its carry bag and you will see the two black rubbers plug on both sides of the SD-8a. Birddog114

Thanks Birdy!
I always thought that you could do that as it's hinted at in the manual IIRC. However, it's slightly larger than the d70's base & I'm not sure what it'll do to the ergonomics, but it'll certainly save attaching the SD-8A to my belt. So a 1/4-20 bolt from the hardware store? I wonder how much they would charge for something similar in a camera store? Julian
Yes, it's larger then the D70 body's base, but it's fitted on the d2 series. Birddog114
