But ozmax is looking for something he can play MP3, watching movie/ video/ download and view photo which he took from his camera etc... the OTG won't serve him with these purposes.

The new JB HiFi catalogue lists the iRiver H340 on special at $548. It's a 40gig storage device with a colour screen, plays MP3's (and other sound files) and video as well as previewing photos.
I'm picking one up on Thursday (waiting for stock) prior to using it to store photos from my driving trip which starts on Friday. PS Well, after six months or so as a member, this is my first post.

The down side of the iRiver H340 is no CF card slot and only viewing JPEG file/ No RAW file support and download photo, it can be use in Host mode so direct connecting to the camera to download photo, though other devices as far more better value than it, able to view RAW. Its screen is only 2".

Edit: Sorry guy, it has an USB Host mode,as I re-read on its specs.

I did a google of this unit and one Aus site said that it will act as USB host for download from Camera.

Birddy:

Does this have a CF card slot, or is it one of those USB host ones that you connect straight to the Camera?

It will connect directly with the D70 to allow photos to be dumped. As Birddog said, the screen is tiny (the Creative Zen is bigger) but it's mainly going to be used for storage at the end of the day. I have a Sandisk Digital Photo Viewer so I think a lot of it will be just hooking it up to a TV when I get a chance.

And yes, you are almost paying iPod prices for it, but it seems to be a little more open then Apple's OS, so I'm taking a punt that someone down the track will develop a hack that enables RAW files to be viewed.

Hmmm.... just had another look while I was checking and fould this link http://www.photozone.de/2Equipment/portableHD.htm to comparisons on various devices. I might go have a closer look at the PMP-140.

The OTG does not have CF slot.

I don't think it's the case, few devices on the market is offering with the view of RAW formats, and the iRiver340 is not the new released product, it has been on the market quite a while, so no go here for Raw shooters.

Actually, with most shooters they only want a dedicated PSD, no and no other apps required, coz virus infection and other made them more worry than just keeping their takes.
