Benro Tripods launch at the mini meet tomorrow

Postby birddog114 on Fri Sep 23, 2005 3:30 pm

A friendly FedEx truck just dropped off a huge box with:
- 02 x C328 (G1228)
- 02 x A328
- 02 x C327 (G1327)
- 02 x A327

C= Carbon Fibre/ A= Alluminum.

And KB-2 & YH401 heads.

OK! here's my first impressions:
- The packaging is similar to Gitzo
- Come with carry bag and similar quality of Gitzo bag which I paid around US$150.00 for my G1325.

The tripods:
I bet with all you guys, who come to the mini meets tomorrow, can tell me : which one is Gitzo and which one is Benro if I masked all the brand labels.

Surprised me a lot once I heard these made in China and I had my low expectations and respectation of its products.

Sorry, I didn't want to offence anyone here on this board, and please take my sincere apologies if my statement offenses and hurts your feeling.
Surely, I don't believe it when I took out and look at the C327 (Same as the G1327), qualities are robust, sturdy and can compete with Gitzo easy, beaten Feisol & Manfrotto, Velbon miles away.

OK, that's, I leave these all to you, tomorrow for your judgments.
I need someone can help me to do a product shoot/ review for our members, of course you can try and evaluate them. (Chris, Glen, anyone else?).

I'm also negotiating with supplier to obtain an Introductory Offer Prices to members during October and at the launch of Benro products tomorrow.

Price: TBA.
But at least your saving is around 30-40% in comparion with Gitzo tripods.

It sounds like these could be the affordable way up to carbon fiber. Looking forward to seeing them and happy to do a review for you Birdy.
