Slide show softwareThere have been quite a few threads in the past about the available software for creating slide shows from your own photos. I have happily used ProShow Gold for a few years, and I know that others have also.
But I recently read in a PC magazine that Microsoft has a (currently) free program available for download which does a similar job. It uses WMP to run the slide shows, which can include audio tracks and transition effects. Here is the link to the Microsoft site, which also includes demos and tutorials. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/digitalphotography/photostory/default.mspx From my brief perusal, it seems to be well worth investigating if you are considering entering the world of slide shows. Can't beat the price! TFF (Trevor)

That's nifty I just downloaded it and created a ten minute slideshow. Very easy....now to add music.

For another way of presenting your photos you might also want to check out Microsoft Max...
It's only a prototype at the moment, but seems to be the direction they are moving in... 3D photo presentation and online sharing... Cheers, John
