Though I was just thinking, us Sth East Qld lot could do our own Santa photos.
Me on the camera - with the Canon obviously beacuse we want good photos
Slider, Mitedo, Manta, dargan and the rest of the gang as Santa's little helpers.
And naturally, Oneputt as Santa.

Dion, wonder if they will do a police check or anything as we all know how paranoid people are nowdays. Just as well they dont have a Thomas the Tank engine day, i could come and be the Fat controller and keep you all in line.LOL

That's the thing - You could have any old pervert manning the cameras at these places, but for us hobbyists who want to take photos of beach scenes we get all kinds of labels attached.
Unfortunately I'd only be good at Adams family reunions, playing Lurch

I don't see any problems with the genuine purposes, on other hands the peverts can do lot of thing but never get noticed by authorities,
I'm confidence to have my camera to the beach taking shots of my family or friends, especially when you gathering by going in a group by 3 or four pp, people look at you difference, but never mind I've seen many solo pp at Darling Harbour, City and other places and I did join them at last.
The authorities always got the good guys but never stop the bad guys

I was at the beach on Sunday morning as my grandson has joined nippers. I had my camera on a pod with me, and I received a lot of odd looks but no one challenged me. I think that as long as you are overt then there will be no problems
Signed
Santa.

I keep seeing those jobs and being jobless makes them so tempting... but I have to think... if I were in that environment with screaming and whining children who should probably get coal for Christmas, I might just want to do something really bad...

Stubbsy,
Know what you mean. My wife and I were shocked when we were at Myer Carindale (Brisbane) on the weekend. They already have a huge portion of their top floor set up for Xmas decorations
