Motard Bikes (NDUS)Well, went for a blat on my pocket bike with a freind of mine down the bike track Saturday and these guys turned up for some practice. Couldn't resist snapping off a few shots! Bloody awesome bike!
Lighting wasn't too good nearing the end of the day, so the colours look a bit washed out in some. Anyway, it's all in fun! Chees, Jase:D Last edited by waspo on Tue Oct 04, 2005 10:21 pm, edited 4 times in total.

Some great pictures there Jase.
#7 is my favorite besides the obvious of it being in the shade. Couple of questions... Where is that track? Whats with the squashing of the *boys* against the tank in the third pic? Is that for more traction on the front or just to get some tail out action? Jamie

Thanks Jamie. The track is at 465 Mc Donalds Rd, Sth Morang. It's called the Grand Prix Training Centre. Alot of Go Karts and Pocket bikes hang out there and they have competition races there as well. Great place to have a bit of fun!
Yes, these guys are flying down the backstraight to kick the tail out into the turn. Bit intimidating when you're standing a few feat away from them. Jase - 'Motorcycle Gallery' - 'Car Gallery'
Woah more great bike pics, this is terrific!
For action shots #2 does it for me, it doesn't seem as sharp as the others but that one and the passing move in #6 is terrific action stuff... Looks like you caught the eye of the dude on the blue yamaha (on bike #3) that last one is a very sell-able shot! Well done mate... Aka Andrew
Nice work Jase,
and good to see a few pics of what these guys are about. I have heard its the fastest growing type of motorsport. Grab your trail bike, throw on some racing slicks and hit the nearest (small) track... They have approached our local karting club... looking to increase the rounds in the season next year plus get more exposure Should be fun! D4, D700, plus glass from 14mm to 200mm

Yes Justin, I was surpised when they turned up at the track to be honest. But, there was really any great speeds as you would usually get at a full on race at some of the more suitable tracks. The only real speed was down the backstraight then on with the anchors into a fairly slow turn.

Very nice shots, Jase. The pan shots are particulary well done.

Thanks guys! I've been trying to slow the speed down to 1/100 so as to get a bit more blur in the background. Heres a couple of pocket racers. Thats my friend in the second shot.
Rossi, eat ya heart out! Jase - 'Motorcycle Gallery' - 'Car Gallery'
Thanks Jeff, I have to tell ya mate, out of a dozen shots at 1/100 I usually only get 1 sharpish shot. Probably not the best to sit at this speed, but I may try practicing more because I really like the smoothness of the blur contrasting with a sharp, focused object.

Thanks Johnny! Hope your weekend didn't wear you out too much. Need you strength for the MotoGP. Yeah, I didn't think to use the flash, I was checking histogram and highlights were clipping so I dialled a -0.7 in exposure to get right. But, I'll try flash next time. Need to get SB800!
Rest up mate, and hope you feel better soon! Take care of yourself and dope yourself up with vitamin C 1000mg, garlic/horseradish, echonacia, B complex. That'll knock that stupid flu out! Jase - 'Motorcycle Gallery' - 'Car Gallery'
