University of Qld Great CourtCanon 20D and a bunch of lovely L glass and a 580EX. Benro tripod. Manfrotto monopod. Lowepro and Crumpler bags. And a pair of Sigma teleconverters, and some Kenko tubes. http://www.dionm.net/
Like the second one, the shadows are very interesting.
The first shot, something about the curves and angles upsets me, not sure exactly what, but something for me isn't right.
Good BW Dion. I like the range of textures in the first. The site is a great photographic resource, I am surprised that Sydney and Melbourne members have not posted pictures of the central quads of both Universities (I cannot recall seeing any on the forum). I am sure you must have taken more of UQ.
In the end we know Nothing, but in the meantime Learn like crazy.

Nicely done!
This type of shot really appeals to me. The depth is fantastic. One thought I have, however, is whether you considered cropping the first one to remove the foreground ceiling. When I first looked at this image I moved on fairly quickly, but as I scrolled deom the page my eye demanded another look.
Thanks! Yes I may look at cropping the roof, it is a bit empty. Canon 20D and a bunch of lovely L glass and a 580EX. Benro tripod. Manfrotto monopod. Lowepro and Crumpler bags. And a pair of Sigma teleconverters, and some Kenko tubes. http://www.dionm.net/
Thanks Dargan. I was just killing some time while my wife did some work (she works out there). I never studied at UQ, but there is some interesting photography to be had there. Even better on a sunday - its free parking. Canon 20D and a bunch of lovely L glass and a 580EX. Benro tripod. Manfrotto monopod. Lowepro and Crumpler bags.
