Europe before d70Hi, we only recently got a d70 but I wanted to see what people though of some pictures I took with film in november last year. I hope this is ok. I am about to upload some I took on the weekend with the d70. Thanks
London Venice Salzburg Salzburg Venice Paris Paris Normandy Monte Carlo Paris
Dave_b,
My few thoughs: #London - I am noy sure, even if I like Beatles a lot #Venice - nice shot. Possbily small crop from the bottom (to cut off piece of wall in the middle) would make it more airy #Salzburg - #Salzburg2 - hmm, great view, but something doesnt fully work here. I dont know, maybe because it is not 100% horizontal. Or maybe because of high noise and lack of detail. Or maybe lack of contrast in foreground. #Venice - I will not go to Venice BTW did they mean you? #Paris - original point of view. A bit shame that the was no Sun. And a bit shame that you were to latr to catch golds of this season. #Paris2 - Well spotted. Would wait there these to bored guy left. Try to control distortion. #Normany - #Monte Carlo - Great mood! Would try to cut cars and keep photo more vertical. Now guy is in danfer to fall into Atlantic #Paris3 - I am not sure here. Third one is top shot for me. really well done Regards, K.Polak
Hi there... they are all very nice pictures
My favourite being # Salzburg 2 although its lacking a bit of detail (probably from the resizing) With the Normandy one, ive seen a few similar pictures like that, but the other ones catured the stones on such an angle that it looked like they were "Holding hands"....very nice thought =BlackWater= The most secure computer in the world is one not connected to the internet. Thats why I recommend Telstra ADSL.
I like all of them. Abbey Road could have done with a bit more DOF but i get it, i can still read the sign. Great idea well executed.
The Salzburg cottage from the air is brilliant. What a gorgeous pattern with the converging roads. The others are great in their own rights too. Great photograhpy and images. Steve.

I really like the first one, and the one of the mountain. I think you're going to fit in really well with your new D70.
Nice captures - i really like #3 (Salzburg).
As has been said, its a pity the two guys on the right in #7 are there. It would have been a very powerful image with that other guy sitting by himself contemplating the art work. I can imagine myself becoming quite frustrated as a result of wasting hours pretending I was able to clone the guys out in photoshop!
The paris shot and Salzburg are really cool how did get the shots ? all look great must been great to see all those places

thanks a lot everyone, i really appreciate your feedback.
the one of the salzburg cottage was just taken from a hilltop and the one in paris was taken from the eiffle tower. it always pays to look closer than the horizon when you have a view that stretches for miles. here are some more if anyone's interested
