More Manly Jazz...I also took the family out to Manly to check out the Jazz festival. Great weather, atmosphere and music. Pity the kiddies didn't see the fun it it
Critiques and comments are most welcome. #1 #2 Beach scene at about 11:30am #3 #4 #5 Cheers ozczecho

For some obscure reason the last 2 B&W’s are what appeal to me. Maybe it’s the beginnings of Jazz back in the B&W days that make these 2 so realistic

Thanks Geoff and Chris.
Geoff, I was there on saturday. Like I said Nice day, and got there just in time for Peter McDonald to open proceedings. Also saw Geoff(?) Bell (the Aussie Jazz icon) belt out a few tunes. He supposed to be 91, but I reckon he forget his brith certificate...
Love the last three shots - excellent

Last two shots for me, I'm starting to really like musican's in B&W, I think some of Leigh and John's shots are to blame.
The colour shots in this set don't hold much appeal for me, I'd much rather a beach to myself, then to be shoulder to shoulder with the next guy.
Me too. I really like to see jazz musicians in B&W. It seems that for the style of music they play, that that is the best way to see them. I can't understand why. Maybe it's just me.....
Great images BTW. Steve.

It's not you Killa, I think a lot of people believe in this sentiment. Cheers! Geoff

...you and me both...thats why I took the "crowded beach" photo...so I can remind myself why we dont go to Manly for a surf... No Sydney Beach IMHO comes close to Whale Beach. As for the B&W treatment I am glad that it turned out. I have been using Matts excellent B&W conversion technique and then playing with levels and curves... Cheers ozczecho
