Nikon 70-200mm AFS VR for $1350 (shipping included)
It is 2nd hand, but seller is jumping to 5D. Only 3 months old.
Is it a good price?

Will get seller to include a letter saying it is a Birthday Gift to avoid customs?
US$1350.00 or AU$1350.00?
Whichever, it's a good find and good price, grab it!!!!!!!!
Even with GST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Make sure it's working and AF-S is smooth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nothing wrong with that price!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Shutterbug,
it is a very good price, especially if it is in mint condition. If you are worried about customs, then it is from overseas, don't think that a gift qualifies as duty free, it is solely based on value, if over $200.
Customs info here:
http://www.customs.gov.au/site/page.cfm?u=4752
If $1350 is AUD, ask yourself, is this price too good to be true? Make sure to double, triple check on the seller if via auction.

Even at this price, it's good to be true also!
The lens are well sought worldwide, he made some money out of it, coz he paid it around US$1450.00 after the US rebate on this lens.
Hard to believe it can be spotted by you without any notice from other in the US.
Watch out! and do your maths.

Thanks Birddog and Radar,
It is from a fellow wedding photography, and he is going to the dark (white) side.

Ok, question, when the VR engages, is there a light click you can hear?

What is the best way to avoid Customs Tax/GST?
Get someone to bring it in with them when they next come into Australia. Seeing as it is 2nd hand, I wonder if you could say you were sending it to yourself and avoid GST. I doubt it.

Buy an airline ticket and go to see your buyer, pay him and bring it back with you.
Never say or post like that on this board, please!
