Nikkor 28-70 2.8

Postby Heath Bennett on Wed Oct 19, 2005 1:21 pm

Hi all, just bought this lens. It is a Maxwell product with 12 months warantee but an ex-demo. Is there anything that I should check when it arrives in the cooling off period?

Sorry about that, I made a pretty stupid excuse to be able to say it!

Ummm... I guess I am human! I realise that it isn't good. I struggled with not posting it since last night, and failed.

Hi
You will enjoy this lens, it is one of my favorite, but have to stop down a bit to get sharpness, very fast focus the downside is it weight a mere 0.95 Kg and big with hood on. A fine lens from Nikon.

Heath,
I find it a bit soft at 2.8 on the D70, but much sharper on the D2X at the same setting.
Cheers,
Gerard
