Enlargements

Sorry if this has been asked before, I did a search and didn't notice anything so:

What if you've taken that perfect pic, such as Pamela Anderson topless at Bondi or Mark Latham biffing a cab driver or even John Howard saying sorry and you want to blow up to say 20 x 30 ?

Where (in Sydney) can you get this done? How much will it cost and what format do they require?

Any recommendations?

Do you plan on Photoshopping them beforehand?

johndec,
I recommend you shoot NEF (RAW).
You need NC and PS to do this we call PP and send to the shop for printing, the D70 pics can be enlarged as big as a billboard.

Raydar,

Can Jethro do jobs for me from Melbourne ?

Have you got his E-mail ?

Thanks,

Mic.

I need a good contact down here, I use a good little Lab here but they only do up to 10x12 I think & not very good Black & White work.

Thanks for the info Raydar, I'll contact Jethro when I've got something I want blown up larger than A4.

Nnnnsic: Yes they'll be photoshopped, although I have a lot to learn regarding that software, so if I'm unsure I'd be happy to let someone else massage the NEF for me :)

Birddog: Billboard sounds nice but I want something to hang on the wall, not new wallpaper!!

johndec,
You can DIY on A3 easily, normal A3 and super size A3, last couple weeks we prints 20 prints of the winning photo of the first challenge on A3 size, they're Xmas present for members who're going to the Xmas dinner, couple members came to my base and brought their photos, we done them on A3. That's happened every Saturday morning.
Sorry, I did not know what size you're going to print? A2? A0?
