Okay, I can't find the link to the order form for ordering thru birddog :? Anyone know?

Canon 20D and a bunch of lovely L glass and a 580EX. Benro tripod. Manfrotto monopod. Lowepro and Crumpler bags. And a pair of Sigma teleconverters, and some Kenko tubes.

Sort of, but I'll use BIG LETTERS... maybe... so you don't have problems with ordering.

I know Dad said that putting it in certain places might make people just want to use the forum for the bargain thingy, but we're going to have to spread it out to stop the confusion.

What confusion?

This is information about placing an order. Where else, apart from the information section, should information be placed?

I'm sorry, but I really cannot see the problem.

Olrac, by definition, any form of information, whether you knew it or not, is information.

with my tounge firmly in my cheek I ask:

Are you sure it is not data until it is used then it becomes information?

I must admit, if I were to look for this form I would probably look in the Bargains section first, then the Merchandise section and then the information section.

I agree that this is Information about ordering from Birdy, however I feel that quite a few people, rightly or wrongly, will equate the form with Bargains from Birdy, and will look there first.

Now that it's location has been re-iterated, I'm sure we can all remember to look in the right place....

It is only data if you happen to call information "data".
If you are at Disneyland, I would say good luck in your endeavours to find the "data booth" because you cant find a bathroom.

Regardless, data is more likely to be information entered into a computational device whereas information merely has to inform you of something to be information.

Aussie, as I pointed out to Gary lastnight it should really be there sticky and firstmost as Birddog lists all his Bargains there so naturally that is where I'd look for it first.

I actually looked at Bargains, Merchandise, Reviews, General, News ... then search (but got way too many hits) ... then posted

Yep. He lists the bargains there.

The bargains are not the instructions for placing an order.

Never have been.

Never will be.

But I'm also correct. :)

You have yet to present any compelling arguments that might sway my opinion on this matter.

IAE, Leigh has done what you want, despite my protestations that it's simply not needed.

So should the competition/challenge rules be placed in the "information" section?

Indeed, should this thread now be in information, as it seems to contain a lot of information      It outlines what type of threads are in the information section, and not in Bargains.

Hrm, should it be crossposted to bargains too? :P

ROFL!   Actually, I think for that post alone it should be cross-posted in the 'Nerd and Pedant Corner'. :)

My two cents worth. Close this thread and go take some pics. And that means all of you and me  Much more useful

The only reason I brought it up was that my wife was interested in joing the challenge/competition and wanted to know what the rules were.

Being the lazy person that I am I told her to do a search in the information section for the comp rules.

She never did find it

Katie thought of entering too, but I realised I'd have to let on her on the forums to make enough posts... realised she'd read the forums... I'd have to behave better if she was reading my posts.. :)
