Informal Get Together in Sydney or CanberraWould it be possible to get together with some of you on Nov 11 or 12 and/or Nov 19 or 20. I'll be in Sydney for a few days on either end of a four day business trip to Canberra (11/14 - 17). I promise no security issues this time Birdy. I'll turn in my clearance first!
Canberrans - I'll be in your city on Sun the 13th about noon and would be pleased to shoot anytime that day or after about 5pm on weekdays. I'll be staying at the Sydney Marriott in Sydney and the Crown Plaza in Canberra. Looking forward to hooking up with someone. regards

There is certain to be a mini meet on one or other of those two weekends. I think that would be a great starting point for you. No doubt birddog will be along soon to say which date. Peter

stubbsy,
I have seen his post But I don't know if he's planning to attend the mini meet or not! I invited him last time and he didn't come coz he had something arranged previously. Anyway, welcome you tothe mini meet if you can find suitable for you! Birddog114

I'd be pleased to make a mini-meet. I'll be wherever you folks tell me to be on the dates I've indicated. I'll be traveling alone this time so there will be no prior engagements.
Thanks for the quick reply. regards

Well if I'm there (11th is my only option) I'm up for a sunset + night shoot. The last one was fun and there's so much to take pics of. This would be extra interesting for Mike - maybe Blues Point again or Mrs Macs chair?

I like night shoots, had a great time with some of Melbourne guys in Aug. Dinner and a shoot along the Yarra. The hospitality and camaraderie was first rate.
Can any of you recommend a good photo-friendly place in Sydney to shoot where folks don't often go. It's obvious where the attractions and much of the scenery are but I like to get away from the tourist places and see other stuff too. regards

Mike,
That is a rather intersting question, and one that's not that easy to answer. Watson's Bay perhaps? Coogee or Balmoral Beaches? Thoughts, people? g.

On the North Side - Balmoral Beach, Little Manly Beach, Dobroyd Head (for night shooting) are all excellent suggestions. Peter has already suggested mrs Macs Chair - an all time favourite, can't go wrong with that one! Geoff
