Well found MHD, seems the kit lens looks ok in that company. Would be nice to see a 84 1.4, 70-200 or 45 2.8 in there as well for comparison. He seems to have done a test of all the second division Boke lenses.

Yes that was my thoughts...
I would like to see 85/1.4 28/1.4 and 70-200VR pitted against each other..

IMHO this is the way you should test the Boke of the lens as it gives the best quantitative test..

The kit lens fares well in that company, and consistent with my own observations. No doubt helped by the fact that it's a little to a lot slower than the other primes in the comparison.

The 70-200 and 85/1.4 comparison, if tested in the same way, I would predict the difference to be neligible. They're both very good and creamy smooth from what I've seen with Birddog's samples - perhaps in real world use the edge goes to 70-200 due to available longer focal length.
