Weather Calendar Photo Competition

Postby mrbillf on Thu Nov 03, 2005 2:22 pm

G'day all,

I was just checking through the weather website and came across this interesting competition. While I don't think the prizes are great but hey, it's your chance to show off your weather pics in a glossy calendar. Below is the link with all the details and themes.

Best Regards,
Bill

Photographs taken on digital cameras are sometimes of insufficient quality for print reproduction.
LOL, had to giggle at that on the BOM site.

They are too generous. We should pay for them, because our photos are selected and we can say it in our portfolios. And you dont know how much time one must spent to make a selection from hunderds if not thousands entries. Not event mention poor guy from InDesign or Quark who has to put all together. I recond we should donate all our photos to them. Lest support australian calendar industry together!!!

Regards,

K.Polak PS ;-) PS2 Ridiculus. Completly lack of respect. I dont ask cleaner to clean my office for recomandation to my firends or in exchange of some pics ;-)

I reckon so John. That pic from TasAdam looks like something from a scary movie. Great capture.

Probably a good time to see those weather pics. Come on, show them off. I wish I had some  Need a storm to turn up.

Further to Krystian's tongue in cheek comment. They have got to be kidding. If they deign to use my pic I get up to three free calendars and because of this clause (touched on by Craig) I can't even submit my image as a high quality digital image (the bolding is mine):

Please note that negatives, slides or transparencies will be required for short-listed entries. Photographs taken on digital cameras are sometimes of insufficient quality for print reproduction.
PS No offence to you for pointing this out Bill.

This calendar is very popular amongst the weather nuts. I imagine storm chasers would get quite the kick if their photo was selected. My family get one every year and it hangs proudly on the back of their toilet door. I always enjoy it when i go back home. :)

Ha - The back of the toilet door is pride of place for a calendar. Ensures frequent viewing.
