I sold my Canon S50 on eBay for $595.00 buy it now - no problem plus I sold my Nikon D1, SB28DX, 35-105 Nikkor plus heaps of other stuff with no problems at all - being the seller puts you in the driving seat and you wait until the money is in your account before sending the goods.

The other good point about selling on eBay is that you have a result in a specified time.

Cheers

I have also sold two digicams, a film cam and a bunch of other stuff on eBay with no problems.

The only problem I ever had was on a purchase where I didn't check the cost of shipping before I bid but that was all my own dumb fault.

yeah i had considered ebay, but i had a look at the same camera on there, minus the case and battery pack im offering with it... and they are around $1100... cant compete with that, better going to more private markets i think.

JD

You have to consider how long you have had the camera and the depreciation. My Canon S50 was bought for $1250.0 and sold as noted above. The time differential between buying and selling was only 6 months and they had depreciated considerably in that time due to new models etc.

Get what you can for it as quickly as possible as they are constantly going down in price - and remember that eBay is now the prime place to advertise with 2.5 million hits a month.

Cheers
