a new hobby.

My wife asked what I wanted for my birthday. I said a tandem parraglide flight. So she booked me in with WindWorks http://www.cmsoft.ch/windworks/ for a 20 minute flight. The freedom of flying above the Northern Beaches, with the wind. I've done the skydiving trick, but this rocks.

Now I just have to convince the bank (wife) that this new hobby is as good as the Motorbike / Camera / Radio Controlled Gliders / Windsurfing etc.

I did think about taking a camera up. My wife was working the 350D on the ground, but if I hadn't of given my old Canon compact digital to my dad then I would have taken that in the air. Specially since the Westpac rescue chopper was at the blowhole @ Warriewood pulling out a teenage girl who jumped into the blowhole.

It was all over by the time we landed, so i could drive around and take some snap shots.

Warick, great pics mate looks like fun but i think i wouldkeep my feet of the ground and stick to stick twidling with all my remote control planes not that i fly them much anymore. I too must get a glider just for fun as i sold of some of my gear like my scale models and Paternship planes and only have a few knock abouts left.

But looks like a ball.
