Really interesting/unusual angle on the portrait. It's looking sort of downward on the person. For some reason it sort of grabs me.
I'm not the expert on this (take a look at Phillip's method on this link to see a more sophisticated way of doing it - http://forum.d70users.com/viewtopic.php?t=1328). But here you go. I've just fiddled with the curves a little:

Nice pics Matt, yeh would have loved to taken some here this morning while in the truck, the shy looked nice with real dark clouds as it had just finished raining a bit after 5am. Oh well the other is good too after last nite i dont think i will shoot in jpeg again. LOl
