What remote?

Postby nodabs on Tue Nov 08, 2005 9:15 pm

just wondering what remote you guys are using and what you recommend firstthere is the origional Nikon remote but that is kinda pricey.

The second option is a programmed TV remote like the small one from Jaycar for about 13-15 bucks this looks like a decent option

the third are the ebay ones like this http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Remote-for-Nikon-D50-D70-D70s-Coolpix-8700-8800-ML-L3_W0QQitemZ7558337338QQcategoryZ30067QQtcZphotoQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
for about 18 shipped

has anyone got any prefferences or used the ebay ones? and if so how where they?

Have you looked at the bargain section?
The Nikon genuine remote is around 25 bucks.

I used the JayCar remote when I had the D70 in the studio with me last year but honestly, it didn't work nearly as well as the Nikon one does.

Nikon Remote

Postby neroli on Thu Nov 10, 2005 8:56 pm

I bought the Jaycar remote and it works quite well (when I finally figured out how to programme the darned thing!!).

It didn't always fire at first press and I got a sick of fiddling around - weakened and got the Nikon remote. Much better, so I should have just got the 'proper' one in the first place :)

I thought they were about lots dearer than they were or else I wouldn't have bothered messing around.
