The Velbon has a Purpose!!

Postby Greg B on Wed Nov 09, 2005 12:37 pm

Oh happy days, with the arrival of my SC-29, the Velbon (recently mothballed following the happy arrival of the A328 and the KB-2) has emerged with a new purpose....

A stand for the SB800! And it is ideal for the purpose. Woohoo.

Hehehe.

I use my old Manfrotto like that too (well, not for an SB800, but for a 580EX), with the Benro being the main tripod now.

My wife just rolls her eyes when she sees me setting up out in the garden with two tripods, ready for some macro action

Canon 20D and a bunch of lovely L glass and a 580EX. Benro tripod. Manfrotto monopod. Lowepro and Crumpler bags. And a pair of Sigma teleconverters, and some Kenko tubes.

Although my velbon tripod is still in operation, i find it makes a good walking stick too.

Not so much walk... it does creep, slide and fall over a bit though. :)
