Tamron for Pentax and Nikon the same?

Postby Z-man on Sat Dec 11, 2004 5:39 pm

I seem to remember that the Pentax and Nikon mounts were the same, so the lens could be swapped. Is this true. I am looking at a Tamron AF 28-300 f3.5 XR LD lens for my Nikon D70.

Don’t quote me on this mate.

But from what I can remember from my old Pentax days the mounts are different.
The Nikon mount rotates clockwise to remove “looking at the cam front on” & the Pentax rotates anti clockwise.

Some one correct me if I’m wrong please :?

Cheers
Ray :P

Negative, don't dare to put any Pentax mount on Nikon Mount! especially the DSLR, you'll ruin all the contact and go out buy a new D70
