Green Beetle (Blacknstormy help!)Rel, I've come across a few beetles recently in the garden that are green and have a very sort of metalic shine to them. They look like some rice boy colored car job! I've never seen beetles like this in the garden.
I could photo a dead one if that'd help Darryl (aka Kipper)

Kipper could they be what we call Xmas Beetles?

It's possible, but the photos that I got when looking for xmas beetles showed fairly bland brown beetles.
The coating was very metalic and iridescent (eg. other colors were forming when rotating the body). Darryl (aka Kipper)

Some of them up here have a really metallic sheen to them.

Oneputt's spot on Darryl. Our Christmas Beetles have that expensive paint job look about them. Different metallic hues from different angles. How big? Ours get to 1.5-2cm long.
Here's one I pinched via Google - it's a bit bland colour-wise but shows the shape. (Thanks to Cyron on Flickr for the image). Simon
