My New Website.... Opinions?

Postby NikonUser on Fri Nov 18, 2005 3:45 pm

Hi there,

I just spent a week on-and-off working on my site and I now have a site that seems to be working...

I've had to learn everything about Joomla and Gallery2 in the past few days so I'm certainly far from an expert.

Can anyone offer me some opinions on the new layout? I'm particularly interested in comments about how it looks (Colours, layout etc)... Also what do you think of the gallery section?

Please be as critical as you like as I don't have much experience with web design.

Thanks
Paul

Nice site nikonuser.

A couple of minor things I find bisturbing, the bird looking out of the left top, have you tried flipping it over?

And the size differences of the gallery photos, I think if they are all the same vertical size be easier to watch it.

For a first effort at site building you have done a great job,

When you click on the insects gallery (and maybe others) the title has [b] /[b] in it.

Nice site nikonuser. my only critisism is in the menu red menu tabs are hard to read. White of even a yelo on a dark background are more legible.

The look of the site is great Paul.

On the Site Launch page, there is

I guess you meant to delete the second one with the typo in it.

Paul - great site, you've done a beautiful job :)

Only things I can offer are on the Gallery, article and review screens, you have what I think are part of the website setup : "This is the main page of your Gallery"; "Articles go here" .... don't think they are supposed to stay there after you have finished your site.

Other than that - congrats :)
