Weekend Pics - Surf, Skurf, Dune bashin!

Postby darb on Sun Dec 12, 2004 10:12 pm

the wind on saturday was an absolute mongrel, but we entertained ourselves by other means :) ... wind died down and rest of the weekend was better weatherwise ... copious amounts of sand, particularly in my camera gear ... but thats what its there for :) . (photography wise, a few mistakes ... underexposure, and forgetting to lower ISO)

Anyway, pics attached ;

(ps, its still creating the intermediate sized images.)

Looks like you guys had fun. Using 4WDs the way they were meant to be driven! :o

hi Darb - great images..just wondering with all that dust and sand (the 4WD shots) how did the D70 hold up? I can't see any (Haven't looked that hard) but did you get any/many dust bunnies? Well done on some great photos!!

the d70 held up well, but i did not dare change lenses (didnt need to.) ... i, we, all our gear got utterly covered in dust and sand ... front of the lens was constantly dirty, but kept it pretty clean. Our camp was covered in sand and dust after some pretty strong winds set in.

cheers

You've got a couple of spectacular 4X drive images there. Find a market for them and make some money.

I agree with Matt, No.22 stands out to me.

G'day,
Looks like you guys had a blast... There's some great shots in there that Toyota might be interested in...

Favs:
4,7,22(!),58 and 67... Although Zack in #3 I think is great...

Cheers,
