Getting prints onto CanvasHi All,
I would like to get some of my prints printed out on Canvas (then mounted on the wall via a wodden frame underneath the Canvas). Does anyone know where I dan get this done? I have one place called Display Bay (in St Leonards) they can print onto A2 size solvent based canvas at a resolution of 300dpi for $100.00 Has anyone had this done previously? I really like the effect this gives your images by not having a chuncky frame around them when you hang them on the wall. Anyway any info regarding this would be helpfull. Thanks W00DY Andrew

Bigprints..Hi Woody,
One of my best mates did this recently with a medium format camera and it blew me away...the great thing is it's very possible to do with DLSR too..he used and highly recommended http://www.bigprints.com.au/bigprints_homepage.asp . I am wanting to do this myself but I havent' a)found/clicked a photo I really like that I've taken yet and b)it's not all that cheap... BUT... having said that good luck and let us know how you get on Cheers, Geoff.
Thanks for the link Geoff.
They are a little more expensive (well a lot more) than the other place I found, but they did have more info about the canvases etc... I might use their site for info and then print at the other place, unless they will drop their price. But your right about the image... for $100 you better be sure the image is worth printing out W00DY Andrew

Hi Woody
I think you might be able to this yourself on Birddogs 2100 printer. Would save you heaps of money. Check the link http://www.inkjetart.com/pro/premierart_canvas.html Regards

I offered it to him or other members who's going to attend the meet on next Saturday. Hope everyone get one nice print to bring home with. Birddog114

It's been a while, has anyone got anything printed to canvas yet, and if so where.
http://www.digitaldavinci.com.au/price_guide.html looks good although a little expensive, but that does include stretching. Canon 1D III
There's a place in the CBD (brisbane) that does it. They are on the Queen St Mall. I'll grab a price list / brochure next time I am wandering by. They do both normal prints, canvas and stretched canvas up to about A0 from memory.
Cheers Brett
These guys? http://www.voyagephotography.com.au/tur ... to_art.htm I was going to give them a call later and see what they use to print.
Canon 1D III
That's them.
I wouldn't mind doing it. I just had one of mine printed on matt at 30x20" and framed, that cost a bit but I like the photo alot and thought it worth it. Cheers Brett
Woody
I can print them for you. my website still isnt going yet. but i print photo prints on artist canvas @1400dpi on my epson 9500 stylus pro. i charge 100 dollars a metre and the width is 1metre. we can set the file to suit the box frame. framing can be done as well at an extra cost which fot that size is about $80. i noticed the other site mentioned do not include framing or stretching. in all honesty photographic prints are not the best medium to put on canvas. photo prints look best on heavy duty coated art and then have a non reflective uv resistant lamination applied, and then mounted on a backing and then framed. much more asthetic. but if its canvas you want we can definately print it and im in sydney cheers jethro shoot it real.
look! and see. Shoot and feel
