Lost Tripod Quantas Redeemed

Postby marcotrov on Mon Dec 05, 2005 9:38 am

My faith in human nature is restored. Quantas rang late on Friday gone and said they had found my tripod which was lost some 3 weeks ago! :) They found it in Brisbane sitting in some container. Well they are kindly going to return it to me AND they have said I can Keep the new tripod they had bought me to replace it as well in lieu of the inconvenience etc. So now I have a spare! What a windfall. :) The prodigal tripod returns. :)
cheers

Yeah I'm very happy. Yeah in a way Craig. The new one is probably better to carry on field trips, more compact but still 2.4 kg and newer technology from manfrotto. The original is taller and probably more suited to the studio setting. The new one has upgraded 322 pistol grip ball head as opposed to old one which was theupright 222 pistol grip ballhead. I like the pistol grip ballhead as it is so quick and easy to use. There is definitely more flexibility and ease of use to the new one that I'm really going to enjoy. Quantas you are back on my Xmas list :)

My post is an off-topic one... I'm happy you got your tripod back and your faith in the flying kangaroo has been redeemed... but this post ain't about an image!!!
