Looks like another council wisely investing our funds.

You've done well, Walter. Out of the Waverley frying pan and into the Leichhardt fire!

But isn't she actually the photographer for the shoot, not the model? You don't have to be young and pretty to be behind the camera :)

If she's the photographer for the shoot that's even worse.......

Don't allow her a work permit, let a local do the job!

I really don't care who she is or was.....

They would get better value for money by using a local photographer, or have a photo competition of the local area with good prizes, and turn this into an ad campaign along with a newspaper and it could run for 12 months or more with monthy prizes..........just watch the traffic increase in the area.........

I have a couple of sites I look after at Leichhardt and all the businesses in the area tell me the same things as to why business is going backwards in the area.
Parking meters.
but that alone isnt the issue.
Leicchardt council has rangers who work til around midnight looking for expired meters etc and issueing parking infringements.
It seems you cant go out for a meal at leichhardt without coming back to top up the meter. even at 11pm you can still get busted.
Diners just go elsewhere.
Now the council is trying to figure out how to boost business in the area and they want to hire Helena to take photos to boost business. go figure!!

Perhaps all this controversy was for the free publicity to raise awareness of Leichhardt's businesses, thus achieving the marketing goal without the spending of $110k.

Out of this Leichhardt's business get publicity, they win. The council gets publicity, they win. Helena whats-her-name who obviously didn't make her mark in the modelling world and was long forgotten for her looks turned behind the camera and her struggling photography image now receives a boost - she wins. Everybody wins!
