I would also like to echo Delarn's (spelling?) sentiments. Yesterday was my first mini meet and I had a great time. It was great putting some faces to the names we all see here so regularly and to share some yarns. Thank you all for making me feel so welcome and a huge thank you to Mr & Mrs Birddog for your outstanding hospitality. I am completely blown away by their generosity and friendliness. And the 10 minute specials... :D :D :D

It is always a pleasure to meet old faces (I mean that nicely :) ) and the new. The exemplary hospitality offered by the Birddog household is matched by the friendships made on these occasions that will continue into the future.

Yes, i want to echo the sentiments of the others. The evening was very enjoyable and it was very nice to be around a group of really nice people. Thank you to Birddog and his lovely wife for hosting another great event.

Good to hear it was enjoyable! :) Was disappointed that I couldn't make it (or the one in Jan!!) but I will be looking out for the next MM after that!

So who's posting the pics from the MM?

Once again I am in the happy position of being able to say that I attended and had a wonderful time at a mini-meet, this time the twilight Xmas special.

Thank you goes to Mr & Mrs Birddog, two truly lovely, kind and generous people. In addition I must thank all those who attended for the food, laughter, great conversation and wonderful Xmas gifts.

To all on the forum I wish you all the best for the season, I hope you all enjoy your holidays (if you have them that is) and I wish you good fortune and great photo opportunties in the new year.

Cheers,
Terry

Twas great to meet both old & new faces alike. And watching those 10 minute bargain hunters was like watching kids on Christmas morning especially Craig (Alpha_7) who got some exceptional bargains (along with a recurring practical joke from me in the form of a 1/2 full water bottle substituted for his new SB-800 - sorry Craig the  made me do it :wink:PS I'm pretty sure Anubis spells his name Dilan

Thanks to everyone that attended, but a HUGE thank you to Thanh more then generous "specials". I think a year of no more purchases is a small price to pay for the gear I now have, and I'm have a great time with it.... now the intial shock, and terror has wore off.

Stubbsy, Thanks for the running joke, definitely kept me on my toes :)

I wish everyone that attended and ALL forums members a safe and happy "December" !!!

Thanks for posting Trent... I'm glad I managed to smile for one of the shots... I was that filled with excitement, terror, happiness and guilty... it was one crazy emotional rollercoaster ride... topped off by my surprise at my half-empty SB-600ml H2O model :)
