It should be worth it. SO long as you don't start eating cat-food.

Just went over to dPreview to take a look for some info/initial reviews of the D200.... WHAT A MESS!!!!

I can't wait for a nice REAL WORLD sample shot that doesn't come with the caption "Just a quick shot under bad light with my 300mm @ 1/5 handheld....could be a little soft"... And then the barage of replies bashing the camera.

I don't know why Nikon bothered to put ISO100 on the camera as people don't seem to be shooting below ISO1600!!... and what a surprise, there is NOISE in the picture.... WOAH.

Look forward to seeing your review :) (especially on the AF..hint hint :) )

Paul,
Relax!!!! you visited and brought and posted some links on this board from DPR!

Why would you bother with it (D200) while you're not ready to order it till June or July 06 as I remembered your says.

If it's true! then at that time frame, the D200 fever will retreat in its shell. If there's any problem, then it's time of 6 months for Nikon to address or act on those issues.

Now! just smile and shooting with your D70, nothing wrong with it.

I'm relaxed, I'm relaxed :) It's my days off...how can I not be relaxed :)

You have a good memory Birdy. I won't be ready until at least June/July... but I still want to know :)

As for there being nothing wrong my my D70....well there is something wrong with it.... my girlfriend has stolen it for today and I'm left cameraless.

You're lucky if you get one this week.

I thought you went out for lunch and get it from Nikon Broadway.

Nikon only allocated less than 10% of the total of orders which Maxwell placed, and that figure covers all Australia & NewZealand.

Why did you go there for? I thought you go there for the D200 and brring it back.

So far I know, first shipment is 2-3 units / store.
I got two this morning but they're special deal for Taxpayer's funding :(

I don't need to, just opened and had a look at both of them.
I shot with it few times before at 19 Nov.
They're on Courier Van now. and heading to the Capital.
