Welcome, #1500! :)

You'll definitely learn heaps. I have only been here for a few weeks and I already know a lot more than when I started. Unfortunately this has mostly been information about equipment that I never thought I needed but now I desperately want ;)

Hey thanks for all the greetings.

Geoff Ive been into photography for twenty years or so. Had my dads yashica RF for a while, then got a pentax SLR.

Got interested in the darkroom after I took some art pictures of my girlfriend and the chemist wouldnt give them to me. I reckon hes still got them to.

Looking forward to having a great time here. I have a d70s now, and its a really good camera. No lenses yet.

No lenses Wally ? I have a 70-300G thats 7months old, but has been well looked after (always had a UV filter on it). If you want to revisit that shoot with your girl friend you'd have plenty of zooming power!

Welcome Wally, hope the family here are making you feel welcome, you will soon feel part of this somewhat crazy family. There are some real characters here, some you will be able to meet at an organised shoot in Adelaide.

If you ever get to Sydney be sure to let everyone know, I am sure you will be made more than welcome at a Sydney mini-meet.

Post away, you will get plenty of feedback, some critical   some favourable :D :D but all of it aimed at helping you.

Cheers,
Terry

You are all so kind!! Thank you for your kind words I'm not sure if I will be able to get to 1 of these meetings that you have as I have a very close relationship with my new camera which is wonderful. I do like people though, it's just a bit outrageous that you're all so kind to me.

As far as the chemist - well half his luck to have those images. As far as this 70-300 lens..sounds interesting but I'd prefer just to look at the camera (it's kinda sexy) and see how it all works first. Know what I mean?

When you say you are planning an organised shoot what exactly is it you're implying?

Thanx every1.
