Where's the best place to get filters?I'm looking for a graduated ND filter. The only one I've found so far is on Ebay. A Tiffen 67mm graduated ND for $109 Vanbar doesn't seem to have any on their online catalogue. Any Ideas?

Filtershop.com.au sells them - Hoya, Cokin, B+W etc. Not really sure of their service and prices, but I've heard people reccommend them in the past. Check out their Hoya range <a href="http://www.madsens.com.au/hoyacart/hoya/pricelist.php?f=fs_hoyand_s">here.</a>

Hi Philipb,
I just got a set of Hitech ND filters from a shop in UK. Hlop also got a set earlier in Dec. I just started using them a couple of days ago, very nice so far, will do a proper set of test in a few days. On that initial thread, I had offered to split the shipping, too bad you didn't see that . Anyway, they were quick at getting them to me, I got the set of three. You will need the Cokin P filter holder for them, got that at Vanbar. http://www.teamworkphoto.com/hitech.html Cheers, radar
Thanks for the link Chris.
Radar, I have the cokin holder but I have a prejudice (probably unfounded) against plastic filters as compared to glass. That's why I was looking for a screw-on glass type. __________

The problem with screwon grad ND filters is that you can't position where the "line" is. Therefore, your filter dictates where to put your horizon. If you want glass ones and don't mind spending the extra cash, singh-ray filters may be made of glass, couldn't confirm this, but I seem to remember reading about it. http://www.singh-ray.com/grndgrads.html HTH, Andre

Main Line Photographics have a good range of B+W filters which are rated pretty highly. They have good service too in my experience. Photo gallery online <a href="http://photoden.net/oliver">here</a> and some more on deviantArt <a href="http://oliau.deviantart.com">here</a>.
